My newest and first finished deck of cards came to me in the mail about a week ago. I think I can finally call it done enough to sell. It was tough to get it to this point, but it is very usable now. I found the best way to use it is as an aid for journaling. While writing in my journal, I have found that pulling three cards and writing about what they mean at the moment of pulling them reveals things in my life I had not really noticed prior. After writing for a bit, I will pull three more cards and write some more. This can be kept going for a while. Probably the best is four “pulls” or so.

This deck came to me as I was trying to use Oracle decks by famous authors and not really being able to understand them in relation to me. I asked for guidance and some messages to put on cards and most of the words and messages on the cards are the same or similar to my first draft. In getting one prototype after another, I experimented and fiddled around with different cards and messages and the result is this deck in finished state.

I added a booklet and box art over the past month or so and was satisfied with them in their first draft. I contemplated changing the art on the backs of the cards, but decided it would be best to wait for the next edition. I don’t know that any of these will sell, but they were fun to make and I like using them.

If you know anyone into journaling and/or Oracle cards, think of sending them to this blog you are on, or to the cards’ page on thegamecrafter

Thanks
